Dental Intelligence has automated Treatment Teams to include your Treatment Coordinators in your Case metrics. Learn how to enable this here.
When you first start using Treatment Coordinators in the Case metrics within Provider Pulse, you may sometimes see a coordinator listed as “non-production.”
If you click to expand the Treatment Teams under that provider, you’ll see which patients are showing as "non-production." In these cases, the treatment team details will show no providers selected.
This happens when Dental Intelligence detects that the Treatment Coordinator is the only user with production linked to those appointments. There are two common causes:
A doctor or hygienist's Provider ID is not connected to their Dental Intelligence user. If the dentist or hygienist who saw the patient isn't mapped in Dental Intelligence, the coordinator appears as the only provider with production on that visit. Navigate to Settings > Users, locate the provider, click Edit, and select their PMS provider name from the PMS Provider Mapping dropdown.
The Treatment Coordinator themselves does not have a Provider ID mapped to their Dental Intelligence user account. Without a mapped Provider ID, a coordinator cannot appear as their own standalone card in Provider Pulse — they will only show up within the treatment team details beneath a dentist's card. To fix this, navigate to Settings > Team Management, locate the coordinator's account, click on their name to edit their profile, and select their PMS provider ID from the PMS Provider ID dropdown. Any existing or new Provider ID works — it does not need to have production tied to it.
In situations where a Treatment Coordinator is truly the only person completing procedures on a patient’s ledger for the day, you can use the Treatment Team tracker to manually assign treatment teams so the data displays correctly in Provider Pulse.
