Why am I seeing a "Do Not Recall" banner in the Analytics Patient Card?

Why a "Do Not Recall" banner appears in the Analytics Patient Card, and where it comes from in your practice management system.

Each Dental Intelligence module has its own Patient Card. Patient card features and functionality differ between modules.

This article covers the Analytics Patient Card, which is part of the Analytics Module and is only accessible from the Analytics-Only portal.

A red "Do Not Recall" banner on an Analytics patient card shows up for different reasons, based on which practice management software you use.

Select your practice management software below to learn more:

When a patient card has a red "Do Not Recall" banner, no automatic Follow Up Tasks will be created. Analytics will skip creating any Automatic Hygiene Recare, Unscheduled Broken Appointment, or Unscheduled Treatment Follow Up Tasks for that patient. This ensures no reminders or follow-up communication is sent for patients marked as "do not recall."

Dentrix and DXE

The red "DO NOT RECALL" banner will show up in Analytics if the "Privacy Flag" is checked in the Dentrix patient profile.

Open Dental

The red "DO NOT RECALL" banner will show up in Analytics if the "Prefer Recall Method" is set to "1 (Do Not Call)" in the Open Dental patient profile.

Eaglesoft

The red "DO NOT RECALL" banner will show up in Analytics if "Receive Recalls" is set to "No" in the Eaglesoft patient profile.

Fuse

The red "DO NOT RECALL" banner will show up in Analytics if the Fuse patient profile matches the following settings:

  • The patient’s phone does not have the “Reminder Ok” or “Text Ok” option enabled

  • OR, their email is missing the “Reminder Ok” setting
